  • I'd recommend doing one axle at a time. Jack the trailer up by the frame on both sides and then jack the axle up to take the load off of it and then replace the shackles. Trying to do both sides at one time will be hard as the components will most likely have tension in them which will prevent them from from easily being removed and reinstalled.
